Class Title: “Poppy Petal Platter: Clay Serving Dish Workshop” Date: 5/18/25 @ 10:30 AM Teacher: Laura Ranson Cost: $85.00 Ages: 12+ Class Description: Celebrate the beauty of handmade clay and blooming flowers in this creative ceramic workshop! In this class, you'll design and build a custom serving platter featuring a poppy-shaped dip bowl attached to a hand-built slab base. Using slab and coil techniques, you’ll shape, sculpt, and assemble your own functional piece—perfect for dips, snacks, or simply displaying as a decorative centerpiece. We’ll also explore texture tools and techniques to add dimension and personality to your platter. Whether you're new to clay or have some experience, this is a fun and rewarding project to express your creativity. Ages 12 and up. All materials and tools provided. Finished pieces will be fired and ready for pickup in about 4–6 weeks.
